Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm greetings to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on the occasion of the party’s Foundation Day on Sunday, reflecting on its journey, achievements, and enduring commitment to national progress.

Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi highlighted the significance of the day, calling it a moment to reaffirm the party’s dedication to building a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). He also paid tribute to those who have contributed to strengthening the party over the decades.

“Greetings to all @BJP4India Karyakartas on the Party’s Sthapana Diwas. We recall all those who devoted themselves to strengthening our Party over the last several decades. This important day makes us reiterate our unparalleled commitment to work towards India’s progress and realise the dream of a Viksit Bharat,” the Prime Minister wrote.

Highlighting the public’s support as a reflection of BJP’s governance, he added, “The people of India are seeing the good governance agenda of our Party, which is also reflected in the historic mandates we’ve received in the years gone by—be it in Lok Sabha elections, Assembly elections across states, or local body polls. Our governments will continue to serve society and ensure all-around development.”

PM Modi also praised BJP workers, calling them the “backbone” of the party. He expressed pride in their tireless efforts, especially in reaching out to the poor, marginalised, and underprivileged sections of society.

“My best wishes to all our hardworking Karyakartas… I am proud of the manner in which our Karyakartas are working round the clock, in every part of the nation and serving the poor, downtrodden as well as marginalised. Their energy and enthusiasm are truly motivating,” he wrote.

The Bharatiya Janata Party traces its roots back to 1951, when it was founded as the Bharatiya Jana Sangh under the leadership of Syama Prasad Mookerjee. The party gained political traction under stalwarts like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani, eventually becoming a dominant force in Indian politics by the 1990s. Since then, the BJP has played a central role in shaping the nation’s political and development agenda.

On this Foundation Day, the BJP not only celebrates its legacy but also looks ahead with a renewed vision for India’s future, guided by its principles of service, development, and good governance.
